1. Actually I prefer the term paranormal investigator. I don't hunt ghosts, I research an investigation site's history, and investigate as to whether there is any paranormal activity at that location. I have personally always been interested in the idea of ghosts and spirits. I "tinkered" with photographs and Quija boards when I was younger. As far as "professionally" (I mean this in the way in which V.T.P.R. carries out their investigations), it has been over a year now that I have co-founded and helped maintain V.T.P.R., along with its research & investigations.
2. I am a paranormal investigator because it is an area of study that interests me. It was a subject that has long held my interest since I was young. The idea that our :spirit energy" continues on after this physical like has always held interest for me. I also feel it is one of the few concepts of human existence that brings us all together, no matter what our religious or personal beliefs may be. How is this? When there is so much disagreement on everything! Simple, if one takes in the concepts of all the different religions, spiritual and personal ideas...you will find many common denominators through out them all. Almost everyone believes in "life after death". We just have different "words" for it. You could call it "heaven", "hell", "parallel dimensions", "cosmic energy", or "the other side". We almost all believe in paranormal beings, again we just have different words for it, such as "God", "angels", "ghosts", "spirits", etc. The point being is that we all believe in these things...just have different way of describing & naming them. For example, a more religious person may say "I saw my Grandma and she was an angel" and someone else may say "I saw my Grandma and she was a ghost". Sounds like the same thing to me? How about you? That's why I am a paranormal investigator, because I too am one of the believers. My goal is to help prove that there is existence after this physical life, and in the process help teach others that it's o.k. for each of us to have our own faith in something...no matter what each of us calls it. I would like to share with you a quote that inspirers me and hopefully who ever reads it as well: Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspirers you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. after examination, believes what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto. -BUDDHA
3. I love all my equipment! Each and every piece. From the simple control objects to the night vision cameras. Each tool helps to aid investigations and allows us to gather more correlating data. Each piece of evidence, from the EMF readings, temperature drops, EVP, personal experiences, photos and video help to teach us about this field of study. We learn from everything we collect. Each time you research and go our into the field, you learn something. Whether it be gathering EVP or by seeing what dust looks like when it rains in a photo...you always learn something!
4. I have 2 movies that are my favorite. The Others, I think is a stunning vision into the unknown. Also the Sixth Sense was an amazing movie as well!
5. I DO NOT KNOW...that's as easy question. I myself have never encountered this. I do believe though that there are spirits or ghosts that have different temperments, just as they did when they were alive.
6. So far through my findings, I feel orbs are a mass of energy. Many photographs show orbs that are dust, reflections, moisture, etc. There are some that are not this. I also feel that "true" orbs are in the UV/IR light spectrum, hence the reason we do not see them with our naked eye. I personally do not know whether they are "spirit" in true form. I have a few theories on them though. 1. They may be part of a ghosts/spirits energy, perhaps residual energy or an emission of sorts that they leave behind them. 2. They are small versions of ball lightning. 3. Their presence is an indicator of the reason for paranormal activity. 4. They are a spirit of ghost true form. That probably wasn't the answer you wanted, but it's the truth. I, so far, do not know. At least I'm not afraid to admit it :)
7. Well any time you are walking around in the dark in an unfamiliar area, that's always a tad dangerous. Also there are some mentally unstable people out there, but that is everywhere. I really have found no dangers other than the slight bump from tripping over something in the dark.
8. EVERYTHING!!! The places you get to see, the people you meet, the research, the investigations, the data collected, the experience, my team members, getting to study and learn about something that interests me...really the word EVERYTHING covers it!

1. I have "officially" been a ghost hunter for about 4 years. However, I've seen them all my life. Perhaps they were hunting me.
2. I believe that our spirits enter into another plane of existence upon physical death. For any number of reasons, some have elected to stay here or have been anchored here, unable to move on. I am a ghost hunter because I desire the knowledge and understanding of life and death.
3. My personal favorite tool is a digital camera. I often am able to "sense" a spirit, then capture it on a digital camera.
4. My favorite scary movie is "Sixth Sense"
5. Demons definitely exist, just as angels do. Satan rules the demons, and his goal is to stop us from fulfilling God's will for our lives- which is to be like Jesus. While angels serve as the messengers of God, to lead us toward his perfect will.
6. I absolutely believe that spirits can manifest themselves as "orbs" (or balls of spirit energy), which can be captured on film or on a digital camera. However, I am skeptical of many photos, because dust, insects, and other small objects can mimic the appearance of spirit orbs.
7. One of the most dangerous parts of ghost hunting is the possibility that one might encounter a demon or negative energy. This can be very frightening, especially for a beginner. However, even more dangerous, is the possibility of encountering dangerous people. That is why it is always so important to have permission from all involved parties, and why you should always have adequate security.
8. The absolute best part of ghost hunting is being able to help people who are frightened or confused about activity they are experiencing. People are most afraid of the unknown. So, if we are able to explain the "haunting" or even cleanse and bless their home so that the activity diminishes, I feel that is worth all the effort and expense.

1. Roughly five years. Before that I was interested and studied as much as I could find concerning the subject.
2. I have had many contacts with the spirit world. As a child it scared me, and as an adult I ignored it. I wanted to know more about the spirits around me and now I want to teach others that there is more to this life than meets the eye.
3. I like the video cam equipped with night vision. Not only do I capture the spirit activity but I can see what they are up to.
4. "The Others" Maybe this movie is not scary like some other movies but it lets us see the other side of ghost hunting.
5. Yes. Yes. Yes. Angels also exist and you can bet that if you hunt ghosts long enough, you will experience both.
6. Orbs can be basic manifestations. I believe that most orbs are caused by natural elements like dust or moisture but it has been proven that that energy exists in the shape of orbs. When looking at pictures with orbs in them I am very careful when I review them. I look first for multiple orbs, these I throw out immediately. The pictures of orbs that are keepers are the ones that show movement and show dimension.
7. Demons or negative energy can be very frightening but I think that the human factor is more frightening. When hunting we always go in pairs and always have a person designated as the contact for outside people. This person moves between the groups making sure that all is well and we stay in contact with hand held radios.
8. The best part of ghost hunting to me is being able to help people who are frightened or confused about activity they are experiencing. People are most afraid of the unknown. By helping a person understand a haunting and live with it, then it is worth all the effort and expense.
