DAVE'S STORY

Hello fellow ghost lovers,
My name is Dave  (a.k.a. dr. swave) That's just my artsy fartsy title when I'm doing my caricature drawing shows, I'm an artist who likes to keep a little bit of Halloween thru the year. any way, I have a couple ghost stories of my own to relate for your web site if you want to use them. the first is when I was about 11 years old and living in Ferndale Mi. I was sound asleep one night, when I heard what I thought was my mom calling me by my bedroom door, I even heard what sounded like one single footstep right at the doorway, I looked up to see for just a brief second  a figure standing there, it was just a faint glowing form, then it was gone in the blink of the eye. well it kind of shook me up a bit, but I dismissed it as just a half wakening dream, and went back to sleep. then a while later, I awoke again to see the same figure again still standing in the doorway, and gone in a blink, this time I wasn't so confident it was just a dream. I didn't sleep to well after that. that was the only time I ever saw anything of any paranormal nature there in that house. but I cant say the same thing for my grandmothers house in royal oak mi. my aunts & uncles lived there as well they were all around the same age as me, (my moms younger brothers & sisters) one night one of us brought in a Ouija board to play around with, ...wrong move... at the time we just figured its just a game, hey its by Milton Bradley, what can go wrong? heh heh. well, we were all around  14 - 16 years old, asking silly questions to the board, and all that, and it was working! we were moving that thing all over the board, answering yes n no  and spelling things out, we figured one of us was doing it, so we were just playing along when the living room light went off! of course we all went running out of the room freaking out. then  slowly creped back into the living room, probably just a loose bulb, but this went on for a while with the light going on & off by itself, after quite a wile of this, we all turned in for the night. my uncle & myself slept on the fold out sofa there in the living room, by this time we assured ourselves it was just a short in the lamp or something and nothing more, and I'm lying there facing the reassuring glow of the porch light shining through the living room doorway. when the porch light suddenly CLICKED off from right there in the living room. now the light switch is right there at the right hand side of the door, there in the room  with us, and there was no one by the door, we were the only ones in the room. and I was looking right at the door when the switch clicked off, not real dramatic, but it left a lasting impression on me! after that, little things would happen around the house, seeing someone out of the corner of your eye coming down the stairs, and there would be no one there in the room were we thought we saw them go in! the sound of someone moving things around when everyone was in bed, and in the basement, we found a small grave marker with a lamb carving on the top, but no name, we figured it might belong to a young child, this was found in a corner of the basement with a dirt floor, very musty smelling, creepy, we also found someone's will elsewhere in the basement, belonging to a Henry Collins, we later found his family plot with the rest of the Collins at royal oak cemetery. the whole thing was just so  strange, like some unsolved mystery.. we never solved. I stopped by that house a while back, its now a bowling trophy store, I had a little look around there in the living room which is now the main lobby. still the same big bulky light switch there in the corner, I was tempted to ask the owner about any strange goings on that might be happening still, but i thought better of it, I wasn't up to any what planet are you from kind of looks at the moment, but I still drive or walk past it from time to time, and still wonder if something is still there. well that's my story, hope you like it, Dave (dr. swave).
